DESCRIPTION: A rare rust fungus found as a series of orange and brown spots on the lower leaf surface of the host plant. SPORES: The urediospores are globose to sub-ellipsoid, yellow and measure 20 - 35µm * 14 - 24µm (Link). HABITAT: On the leaves of Pyrola minor and Pyrola rotundifolia ssp. maritima. SEASON: Summer to autumn. |
